Your drawings stay yours.

Effective: October 1, 2026 (replaces the January 8, 2026 version). ZenAnimator is made by Victory Design LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the ZenAnimator apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows, and this website.

The short version

Your projects, drawings and settings are stored only on your device.
ZenAnimator has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
We don't collect, sell or share personal information.

What ZenAnimator stores on your device

Your work: projects, frames, layers, imported images, video and audio, and exports you choose to save.
Process timelapse: while you draw, snapshots of your drawing are kept in the app's memory so you can make a timelapse video. They are never uploaded, and you can turn this off in the timelapse window.
Settings: theme, layouts, panels, brushes, palette and similar preferences, plus the date the app first ran (used only to recognise early users when new paid features arrive).

On the web this is kept in your browser's storage (IndexedDB and localStorage); in the apps, in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app or clearing its data removes it.

Permissions

Photos and files: only when you choose to import an image or video, or export your animation.
Camera: only if you choose to take a photo inside the app.
Microphone: not used.

Purchases

On iPhone, iPad and Mac, ZenAnimator Pro is an optional one time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple tells the app whether Pro is unlocked; we never see your name, card or Apple ID. Purchases on other stores are handled the same way by that store.

Things we don't do

No personal information collected (name, email, phone, location, contacts).
No analytics, advertising networks, data brokers or third party trackers.
No cloud storage or uploads of your work.
No use of your work for AI training, marketing or profiling.

Children

ZenAnimator is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information and has no accounts, it does not knowingly collect information from children.

The app stores

Apple, Google and Microsoft provide downloads, updates and purchases under their own privacy policies, and may share anonymous crash and usage reports with us if you allow it in your device settings.

This website

zenanimator.com is a plain website with no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here with a new effective date.
